Meet Sinéad & Shauna

Sinéad Crowe

Intuitive Eating Counsellor

Sinéad is an Intuitive Eating Counsellor, Nutritional Therapist and Perinatal Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist, other expertise includes, training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Strategic Intervention and Behavioural Family Therapy. She is currently completing a Masters in Mindfulness Based Interventions in UCD.

She experienced binge eating for over 20 years and enforced rigid food rules for her eldest two children. She has since had two more children and has raised them as intuitive eaters.

She co-founded @intuitive.eating.ireland with her sister Gillian in 2020 and is now binge free and has a peaceful relationship with food.

The once self-professed ‘chocoholic’ once believed she could never be in the company of chocolate without hoovering it up but now enjoys a life where chocolate is sitting in her fridge (because who leaves it in the press?!) all year round, she can finally take it or leave it!

Sinéad is passionate about empowering others, particularly mothers who feel like they no longer recognise their bodies or lives and use food to cope.

Sinéad loves hiking, travelling and yoga.

Sinéad and Shauna connected on their Intuitive Eating training and formed the Intutive Eating Hub in 2022.

Shauna Gibson

Intuitive Eating Counsellor

Shauna Gibson is an Eating Psychology Coach who specialises in the treatment of Eating Disorders and eating issues.

A dieter from a young age she became a Slimming Consultant, for several years. Disillousioned by the slimming industry Shauna embarked on training in Eating Psychology.

She moved into private clinical practice in Belfast in 2013 and found that weight management approaches do not work and can actually cause harm. But actually working in a weight neutral way where the focus is on health promoting behaviours is better for long lasting effective change.

Intuitive Eating is the main evidence based weight neutral approachand, Shauna is passionate about this self care framework.

Shauna moved from counting points, syns and calories to being being relaxed around food and body and having a healthy relationship to eating and exercise and shares this approach with her clients. 

Shauna is also qualified in treatment of Eating Disorders through the National Centre of Eating Disorders, a graduate from the Institute of Psychology of Eating. Other qualifications also include, Integrative Counselling, Advanced Life Coaching, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Yoga Teacher, Athletics NI Running Coach, BSc, and Post Graduate Diploma.

Shauna is also a wife, mummy, chocolate, peppermint tea lover and parkrunner!
